These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ChopCalabar, including its website, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using ChopCalabar, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. About ChopCalabar

ChopCalabar is a local discovery and listing platform that helps users find restaurants, lounges, hotels, events, nightlife, and lifestyle spots within Calabar and its environs. ChopCalabar acts solely as a discovery platform and does not own, operate, or manage listed businesses.

2. Definitions

• User: Any visitor browsing the platform without posting listings.
• Vendor: A business owner or authorized representative listing a business.
• Agent: An individual permitted to post or manage listings on behalf of vendors.
• Listing: Any business, place, event, or promotion submitted to ChopCalabar.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register as an agent or vendor. By using ChopCalabar, you confirm that you have the legal capacity and authority to do so.

4. Accounts & Responsibilities

• All registration information must be accurate and truthful.
• Agents confirm they are authorized to act on behalf of vendors.
• Vendors are fully responsible for listings submitted by their agents.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

5. Listings & Content Standards

All listings must:

• Contain accurate, current, and lawful information
• Not misrepresent ownership, pricing, or services
• Not include offensive, illegal, or deceptive material
• Not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or third-party rights

ChopCalabar reserves the right to edit, suspend, reject, or remove any listing at its sole discretion without prior notice.

6. Sponsored & Paid Listings

• Some listings may be promoted through sponsored or featured placements.
• All payments are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• ChopCalabar does not guarantee visibility, traffic, sales, or conversions.

7. Reviews & User Interaction

Users may post reviews and ratings. ChopCalabar does not verify or endorse reviews and is not responsible for their accuracy. Vendors and agents agree not to manipulate, solicit fake reviews, or harass users.

8. Prohibited Activities

• Posting fake businesses or impersonating others
• Submitting misleading or fraudulent listings
• Scraping or copying platform data
• Attempting to bypass platform security
• Using the platform for unlawful purposes

9. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, design, and software belong to ChopCalabar. By submitting content, agents and vendors grant ChopCalabar a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote such content.

10. Disclaimers

ChopCalabar is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, listing accuracy, or business success.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChopCalabar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or disputes between users, vendors, and agents.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChopCalabar from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

13. Suspension & Termination

ChopCalabar may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
